Teyana Taylor Scores Off A Twitter User Who Accused Her Of Stealing A Design For PrettyLittleThing

Multi Award-winning R&B singer Teyana Taylor responded to a Twitter user accusing her of stealing ideas from other black fashion designers of the brand PrettyLittleThing.

In November, Teyana Taylor announced that she would quit making music and retire. Although she faced reaction from her fans in December, she announced her new project as the new creative director for PrettyLittleThing.

On Sunday, the 30-year-old star got frustrated when she saw a comment on her Twitter account. A fashion designer claimed that the brand used her designs without permission, and another user reposted it, accusing Taylor of stealing.

In her response, Taylor clearly stated that she had nothing to do with that design as her position barely started in the company, and it’s only been a month. Therefore, she warned the Twitter user to check her manners and tone before accusing her of something she didn’t do.

Here’s the tweet:

“First off how are u going to ASSUME I have anything to do with this? My position barley started! I JUST announced my new title only a month ago,

I have not even officially started my CD role as of yet. So check ya self & most IMPORTANTLY ya tone before u come at me loud & wrong.”

The fans of the artist wrote supporting comments under her responding tweet.

One of the users wrote:

“This same thing happened with Megan Thee Stallion and FashionNova. At this point, I absolutely blame the fast fashion industry. They’re the ones copying and stealing from everybody.”

Another user wrote:

“She is original …. there is no need to steal boo !!”
