Drew Barrymore started a TV show called The Drew Barrymore Show. Her guest on Monday was Paris Hilton. She was there to promote her This Is Paris documentary which she will post on YouTube. She shared the personal topics and the unknowns about her life.
The documentary is about how she had to live in solitary confinement because of her parents’ highly authoritative attitudes. She claims that she was taken to a school which abused her both emotionally and physically.
After Barrymore watched the documentary, she said that she felt like she was listening to her own childhood experience. As she hadn’t heard such an honest story like that for a long time, she was surprised.
Barrymore was also locked up in solitary confinement and she says she knows how Hilton felt about it.
The only difference in their experience was, Hilton was effected negatively while it affected Barrymore positively.
Here’s what Hilton said:
“All it did was give me trust issues, PTSD. I didn’t deserve to go there. My mom and dad were just very strict and sheltered when I lived in L.A. I wasn’t allowed to go on dates, couldn’t wear makeup, couldn’t go to a school dance. They just didn’t want me to grow up.”
Here’s what Barrymore said:
“I didn’t like being thrown in solitary confinement. I will say I was very rebellious. I started riots there all the time. There was a lot of other kids like me. My mom just didn’t know what to do with me. I was doing drugs. I was out of control. That place really did help me and it did save my life and I actually wouldn’t change a thing.”
