British actor Tom Ellis said goodbye to Netflix’s Lucifer and its cast and unveiled a special gift he got from his wife, Meaghan Oppenheimer on his Instagram page.
As you probably all know, Lucifer became one of Netflix’s biggest original series after it was canceled on Fox. Netflix has taken over production since the third season, season 4 ended on May 8, 2019, and the most recent season aired on August 21, 2020.
However, Netflix has finally announced the release date for Lucifer’s season 5, part 2. It looks like a release date will be set for late May 2021.
A post confirming this was posted on Instagram by Tom Ellis. The handsome actor shared a photo of a lighter on which Lucifer’s release date and shooting end date were written.
Tom Ellis also wrote a farewell letter to the whole team and other players. He thanked the cast he started working 6 years ago and described them as the greatest group of people. He also thanked his wife for the lighter gift.
Here’s what Tom Ellis write:
“Today is the day. 6 years ago I started a journey with the most amazing group of people and today we say a fond farewell to each other. Thank you to every single crew member who has helped bring the story of #Lucifer to life. What a ride. Ps Thanks for the beautiful gift @moppyoppenheimer”
