British actor Tom Holland, who is known for his role as Spiderman, showed his anger for hooligans after England football players suffering racist abuse.
In the final match of EURO 2020, the regular time and extensions were completed 1-1, Italy, which gave England a 3-2 advantage on penalties, became the champion.
England coach Gareth Southgate changed his tactics for penalty shootouts when the equality was not broken in the extra time of the match, which ended with the regular time 1-1. In England, Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho were included in the game in the last minute of the match, considering penalty shootouts.
After Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho missed penalties, Bukayo Saka could not pass Gianluigi Donnarumma, and the trophy went to Italy. After missing penalties, some England fans were not happy with this situation and they used racist hate on the players who missed the penalty.
Following the racist attacks on England players, Tom Holland took to Instagram to show his support for England players, Sacho, Saka, Rashford. He also showed his anger for racist hooligans who made hate speech to Englan players on social media.
Here’s what Tom Holland wrote:
“The people abusing any England players are the only people who have let anyone down. Their behaviour – the people who beat up the Italian fan and the assholes hurling racist abuse is despicable. You are not my countrymen. These players deserve nothing but respect. They’ve given us so much in such a difficult time and they should be held up like kings not kicked while they are down.”
He continued his harsh statement:
“To Saka, Rashford and Sancho, you had the bravery to step up. You guys are three lions and all decent Englishmen are proud of you and the whole team and staff and we will support you again come the World Cup.”
