Tove Lo Pens An Emotional Letter About Her Huge Health Problem

Swedish pop singer-songwriter, Tove Lo has posted a really pure photo of her own via her official Instagram page, and she penned down an emotional letter about her life and psychological problems.

Here’s what she wrote:

“Mental health… I’ve been reading a lot of beautiful, honest and vulnerable posts about this from people I follow.. As you guys know I’m a big fan of talking openly about ALL feelings, not just the good ones. It’s been a while since I was really depressed, but there are still days where I feel like every breath is the challenge of a lifetime and the everyday polite question ”how are you?” brings me to tears.

Some days I don’t feel anything at all and those are almost worse for me. What helps me in these moments is to talk about it, write about it, cry about it. I think everyone’s journey is different but pushing my emotions down and ignoring them has never worked for me.

The other day I had a really hard day and I texted a fellow songwriter (that I don’t know very well but feels like a really good and open person) and just blurted out everything going on in my head. Their responses were super supportive and genuine and helped me a lot.

I felt safe reaching out to them because their music really speaks to me. I guess I felt how you guys feel when you write me about something you’ve been through or tell me about what’s hurting you… Write me (even if I’m really slow at answering) cause sometimes just getting it out is such a big relief.. anyway.. just some thoughts from my head to yours 🙂 we should share them ❤️”
