Los Angeles-based rapper Ty Dolla Sign surprised his 5.4 million followers by sharing his exclusive collection that he gathered in honor of Eddie Van Halen.
The co-founder and guitarist of Van Halen, Eddie Van Halen had been fighting with cancer for a long time. On October 6, his son and the band’s bass guitarist Wolfgang Van Halen made a devastating statement on his official Twitter account and announced his father died due to throat cancer. Eddie was 65.
Although days passed after his death, Ty Dolla Sign jumped on Instagram to pay tribute to the legendary guitarist. The rapper, who is not very active on social media, shared a special photo for Eddie.
As you might see in the photo, the rapper showed off his special guitar collection while posing in a cabriolet car. It was clear that these guitars were collected out of love for Eddie Van Halen. Also, the guitars were very similar to the guitars Eddie used on stage.
Here’s what he said:
“R.I.P Eddie Van Halen 🙏🏾”
