Vanessa Bryant Says ‘It Still Doesn’t Seem Real’ As She Remembers Husband Kobe Bryant And Daughter Gianna

Vanessa Bryant has updated her Instagram feed and mourned the death of her husband and Los Angeles Lakers iconic basketball player Kobe Bryant and her 13-year-daughter Gianna one year after the tragic helicopter crash in Calabasas, California.

One year ago today, Kobe Bryant died in a helicopter accident in California while traveling to the Mamba Sports Academy with his 13-year-old daughter, Gianna ‘Gigi’ Bryant, for basketball training.

As the whole world mourns the late Los Angeles Lakers icon and his daughter, Kobe’s wife, Vanessa Bryant, took to Instagram to share a letter she received from Gianna’s best friend, Aubrey.

In the caption area, Vanessa thanked Gigi’s best friend for beautifully sharing some of her memories of her Gigi with herself and also thanked Aubrey for allowing her to share them here on her IG.

Vanessa continued and said that she misses Kobe and Gigi so much. She concluded her gut-wrenching message by saying that she would never understand why/how this tragedy could’ve happened to her beloved ones.

“Today I received this sweet letter from one of Gianna’s best friends, Aubrey. I love you Aubz (as my Gigi would call you). Thank you so much for beautifully sharing some of your memories of my Gigi with me and allowing me to share them here on my IG. My Gigi is INCREDIBLE and I truly appreciate your thoughtful letter. She loves you so much.

I miss my baby girl and Kob-Kob so much, too. ♥️I will never understand why/how this tragedy could’ve happened to such beautiful, kind and amazing human beings. It still doesn’t seem real. Kob, we did it right. Gigi, you still make mommy proud. I love you! #PlayGigisWay #Mambacita #Mamba #DaddysGirl #GirlDad”
