The death of Kobe Bryant, the iconic name of the Los Angeles Lakers, whom we lost in a helicopter crash earlier this year, grieved the world. His widow Vanessa Bryant reveals one of the most important legacies he left behind now.
On January 26, 2020, Kobe Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna died, along with the other seven inside, when a helicopter crashed into a hillside outside Los Angeles.
As we all know, Kobe Bryant’s daughter Gianna was expected to be one of the WBA’s most important figures, but we’ll never see it due to her untimely death. But Vanessa Bryant has a few names that Kobe left and mentored for the future of the sports. Two of them are New York Liberty’s basketball player Sabrina Ionescu and the three-time Grand Slam singles champion Naomi Osaka.
Vanessa jumped on Instagram to promote the ‘Bodyarmor SuperDrink’ brand and shared a photo of Sabrina and Naomi posing side by side. Kobe, who has a close relationship with both athletes, taught them Mamba Mentality, and both athletes do their best at their games to honor Kobe. In reference to Kobe’s mentoring of the two athletes, Vanessa showed Kobe’s legacies for the future of the sports.
Here’s what Vanessa captioned:
“@drinkbodyarmor 💪🏽💪🏽 @kobebryant left a legacy. 💜💛 #ProudWife ~ always.”
Sabrina was one of the thousands of followers who flocked to the comment section after this post and she commented:
“Let’s get it!! 💪🏼”
