Rapper Yelawolf spoke in a recent interview with ‘HipHopDX,’ he talked about his diss track that he released for some famous rappers, and he revealed why he hates most white rappers.
Earlier this year, Yelawolf mentioned several artists, including G-Eazy, Post Malone, and MGK, on his ‘Bloody Sunday Freestyle.’ However, Yela added that he was not trying to start any fights.
Here’s what he stated:
“I think it’s ’cause I come from a school of show and prove, like El-P from [Definitive Jux]. Like, that was a white boy I was like, ‘Jesus, dude. This guy is the illest.’ You know? You gotta be that ill or you’re not at all. I didn’t like Asher Roth’s sh*t. Not hating on Asher’s style or….I just, I thought he sounded too much like Marshall. Period.”
He also really expected the diss track from Post Malone and G-Eazy against his freestyle. He continued:
“First of all, no one I dissed on ‘Bloody Sunday’ I don’t respect. All those guys are talented. Which is why I did it. I’m not shooting a deer in a cage. That’s no fun. I expected bars outta G-Eazy to be honest. I expected if anyone was gonna come, I thought G-Eazy was gonna come, but…
Actually, I was hoping. His Wikipedia says hip hop…Dude’s a G, man. He kills it. I respect all them guys.”
