Young Thug Sheds Lights On His Controversial Comments About Jay-Z And Lists Top 5 Rappers

Atlanta rapper Young Thug has clarified his controversial comments about Jay-Z and named top 5 rappers during a recent appearance on the ‘Million Dollaz Worth of Game’ podcast.

As you recall, Young Thug answered Gillie Da King and Wallo267’s questions in Million Dollaz Worth of Game in December last year. The rapper had made a controversial comment on the iconic New York rapper and said Jay-Z doesn’t have 30 stadium anthems but that he himself has upwards of 40.

Here are his remarks:

“Jay-Z doesn’t have 30 stadium anthems but that he himself has upwards of 40. Anthems, we talking about songs they know… Like, when I perform, I got 30-40 songs that the whole stadium gonna know. Jay-Z ain’t got 30 songs like that… the whole stadium finna sing.”

Young Thug and the Young Stoner Life Records family recently appeared again with Gillie Da King at Million Dollaz Worth of Game. Thug clarified his comments on Jay-Z and said the following.

Here’s what Young Thug stated:

“I was talking to [sic] fast but y’all know what I meant.”

He continued:

“Basically that’s all I was saying, I just used his name because he the biggest n***a in the world to me,. I just used his name, to let the world know, like, ‘Yo, I got just as many hits as the biggest n***a in the world. I’m doing two hours on stage, for real. I don’t remember my last hour show… and I don’t do too much talking.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Thug was asked who his top five favorite rappers are. He initially listed the entire YSL record label, Lil Baby, Lil Uzi Vert, and Drake. He was hesitant for his fifth election and said he could fill it with Future and 21 Savage. But he said he could lyrically add Kendrick Lamaar, J. Cole, or Bas.

“It’s about everything. Everybody who I named got everything. Fifth one gotta be Kanye.”
