Director Zack Snyder revealed his desire to direct a possible ‘Rick And Morty’ movie, showing his admiration for the animated comedy series.
Speaking in a new interview, the Justice League director said he thinks the “closest” thing to directing a comedy is to be asked to work on a potential Rick And Morty movie.
Speaking in a new interview, Zack Snyder said he wants to direct a comedy and would like to work on Rick And Morty if they offered him. Justice League director shared his thoughts during an interview with The Film Junkee Vodka Stream and said:
“I don’t have like a straight comedy that I can think, you know, that’s like wall to wall straight comedy. If I did the Rick And Morty movie that’s probably about the closest I’d get.”
Snyder also revealed that he proposed directing a short live-action scene to put at the end of one of the episodes of the animated series. He continued:
“You know what I wanted to do… my suggestion was to shoot, to do, just like, one of the end teasers in live-action.”
Snyder’s comments came after Rick And Morty producer Scott Marder recently told Digital Spy about a spin-off movie. Marder added that the team will work hard for this.
“It’d be daunting. I wouldn’t be shocked if there was one that comes down the pipeline someday. But I feel like every episode is a movie. I’d like to see what a movie would be. A movie would feel like the equivalent of a trilogy. We just pack so much in. It’d have to be pretty epic.”
